
Our First Aid
at Work course complies with the current Health & Safety
(First Aid) Regulations 1981 and is approved
by the Health & Safety Executive. Successful
candidates receive a certificate showing their
qualification as a First Aider in the work
place which is valid for three years.
Who should attend?
- A person who has been designated or volunteered
as a First Aider at work. All employers in
the U.K. have a legal obligation to make
First Aid provision for their employees

- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
- Care of the airway
- Care of the unconscious
casualty
- The respiratory & circulatory
systems
- Control of bleeding
- Choking
- Treatment for a heart attack
- Treatment of shock
- Treatment of burns & scalds
- Treatment of poisoning
- Treatment of injuries to
bones & joints
- Recognition & treatment
of medical conditions
- Accident reporting & regulations

Assessment
- Multiple choice question paper and practical
skills test (CPR, secondary survey, bandages)
Certification
- A certificate valid for three years approved
by the HSE will be issued on successful completion
of the assessments
